Cherry Picking in Ceres

One of the best days of the year is when we pack the picnic baskets and head off via the spectacular Bain's Kloof Pass to Klondyke Cherry farm in Ceres to pick our own cherries, for Christmas as well as preserving a few in some brandy for year round deserts.

The entry fee is only R15.00 per person and there are picnic and braai facilities available.

You will be given a 1 kg punnet to collect your cherries but bringing your own container is much easier to carry. The cherries are weighed afterwards and cost R45 per kilo

Remember to take a warm jacket or warm top as the wind can get cold up the mountain
